With funding from Middlesbrough Council, Breckon Hill Community Centre was able to provide a summer playscheme for local children in receipt of free school meals.
The programme of activities included Arts & Crafts, Sports, cooking lessons and trips to various places including Redcar Beach and Newham Grange Farm.
Over 160 local children attended the playscheme during the six-week summer holidays.
Staff and volunteers said “the children were an absolute dream to work “.
